Regattas

Each year the Pickering Dragon Boat Club hosts the Pickering Dragon Boat Festival over the first Saturday and Sunday of June. Held on Frenchman's Bay in Pickering, this two-day festival is comprised of three distinct events:

Pickering Dragon Boat Challenge (Saturday)

Known to many as the "Pickering Regatta", the Pickering Dragon Boat Challenge will celebrate its 12th anniversary in 2008, offering racing divisions for Sport Mixed, Recreation Mixed, Sport Women, Recreation Women, Sport Open, and Recreation Open. Specialty Cup Races will be held for Bank, Breast Cancer Survivor, Health Care and University crews.

Ontario High School Dragon Boat Championships (Sunday)

The Ontario High School Dragon Boat Championships is the platform where Ontario high school dragon boat crews to compete for Provincial Cup.

Community Festival (Sunday)

The pdbc’s Community Festival provides an introduction to competition for new and local dragon boat crews.
